A 12-year-old girl was killed last night in a car accident in the city's Port Richmond neighborhood, police said.

The car - carrying the girl, a 4-year-old boy and a man and woman - was headed north on Richmond Street at 6:51 p.m. when it rear-ended a box truck at Cambria Street, police said. The girl was ejected and died instantly.

The other occupants were taken to hospitals with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said. The driver of the box truck was not injured.
