A Delaware County woman was arrested on suspicion of bilking her employer out of more than $100,000 in profits from the sale of salt, the county District Attorney's Office announced yesterday.

Michelle A. Cubler, 43, of Eddystone, was charged with theft, forgery, tampering with records, and related crimes.

The District Attorney's Office said Cubler, a sales representative for Chemical Equipment Labs in Marcus Hook, had been selling industrial grade salt at extremely low prices. She allegedly then instructed at least two landscaping companies to send checks, made out to her, to her home.

No charges were filed against the companies involved. At her arraignment yesterday, bail of $100,000 was set for Cubler and she was released. - Mari A. Schaefer
