One killed, one wounded in Grays Ferry shooting

One man was killed and another critically wounded in a double shooting in the Grays Ferry section of South Philadelphia yesterday afternoon, police said.

One man was killed and another critically wounded in a double shooting in the Grays Ferry section of South Philadelphia yesterday afternoon, police said.

Shortly after 3 p.m. in the area of Tasker and Napa Streets, a 20-year-old man was shot in the face, chest and thigh and an 18-year-old was shot in the chest, police said.

Both men were transported by police to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where the older man was pronounced dead at 3:21 p.m., police said. Their names were not released. - Robert Moran
