A late-night fight involving gunfire on Tuesday in Chester County led to the arrests of five Coatesville residents, state police said yesterday.
Officers responding to the Valley View Mobile Home Park in Honey Brook Township at 11:53 p.m. said at least one handgun and one shotgun, which discharged three rounds, were used in a group fight. Although no one was hit by gunfire, a 19-year-old male was struck in the face with the handgun and treated for injuries, police said.
Police found both weapons, drugs, and drug paraphernalia, and charged Joseph M. Slaymaker, 20; Albert Edwards Jr., 21; and Allison L. Plank, 19, all of Coatesville, with aggravated assault, conspiracy, and related offenses. Two males, 16 and 17, were remanded to juvenile authorities. More arrests are expected, police said. - Kathleen Brady Shea
