Body of woman found outside apartment building

The body of a woman was found yesterday morning at the bottom of a fire escape at her apartment building in East Germantown, officials said. Police have not yet classified the death as a homicide but said it appears suspicious.

The woman, whose name was not released, lived on the third floor of the Tulpehocken Plaza apartment building at Tulpehocken and Homer Streets. Her body was found at the rear of the building about 9 a.m. - Inquirer staff
