Man is shot in shoulder near 11th and Market

A 48-year-old man was shot once in the left shoulder on Market Street just west of 11th Street shortly before 9 last night, police said.

The man was reported in stable condition at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Police said they arrested at least one person and recovered a firearm at the scene.

No motive was immediately reported. - Robert Moran
