Aggravated-assault charges have been filed against a man who allegedly hit and dragged two New Jersey state troopers while fleeing a traffic stop. The troopers, whose names were not released, sustained minor injuries. They were treated at Cape May Regional Hospital and released.

State Police Detective Brian Polite said the incident occurred around 10:15 p.m. Saturday in Woodbine, when the troopers stopped 28-year-old Jeffrey May of Dennis Township and tried to arrest him. May fled in his pickup truck and hit the troopers while driving off, dragging them a short distance, Polite said. - AP
