A southbound Pontiac hit her shortly after 6:30 p.m. Rescue workers pronounced her dead at the scene, police said.
The victim was described as heavyset and about 40 years old, with strawberry-blond hair. She was wearing black fleece pajama pants with a green extra-large T-shirt. Anyone with information is asked to call 215-560-6200. - Sam Wood
