Kensington woman fatally stabbed at home

Police were investigating yesterday the stabbing death of a Kensington woman inside her home.

Tawanda Nelson, 35, was found by her 16-year-old son Thursday afternoon after he returned from school. Nelson had been stabbed in the neck, chest, and stomach, and had defensive wounds on her hands, Inspector Scott Small told reporters Thursday night outside the victim's house on the 700 block of East Ontario Street. - Inquirer staff
