Man, 19, is shot in the head on Chew Avenue

A 19-year-old man was fighting for his life Saturday at Albert Einstein Medical Center after being shot while walking in the 6600 block of Chew Avenue, police said.

Two men confronted the victim in the street about 3:40 p.m. and shot him in the head and back, police said.

The victim's name was not immediately released, and no arrests had been made late Saturday evening. - Mark Fazlollah
