A Cherry Hill man was arrested at the Phillies game Wednesday after he was accused of assaulting an off-duty police captain from Easton, Pa.; vomiting on the captain's 11-year-old daughter; and then vomiting on a Philadelphia police officer who was trying to arrest him, police said.

Lt. Frank Vanore, a police spokesman, said Matthew Clemmens, 21, had spewed several innings of abuse at Michael Vangelo, his two daughters, and a friend before intentionally vomiting on one of the girls, then punching Vangelo in the head several times at Citizens Bank Park. Another off-duty Easton police officer punched Clemmens several times in response.

When Philadelphia police tried to arrest Clemmens, Vanore said, he fought back and threw up on one of the officers. Clemmens was charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, and related offenses. - Robert Moran
