Businessman named Ursinus' interim president

Ursinus College on Tuesday named an interim president to replace John Strassburger, who is leaving the school for personal and health reasons after 15 years at the helm.

Ursinus College on Tuesday named an interim president to replace John Strassburger, who is leaving the school for personal and health reasons after 15 years at the helm.

John E.F. (Jef) Corson, a business and civic leader from Plymouth Meeting, will take over at the Collegeville school after Strassburger departs on June 30.

Corson is president of the Corson Foundation and the Blue Bell-based Corson Investment Co., a group of family partnerships and a consulting firm. He also chairs the board of trustees at the Montgomery Hospital Medical Center in Norristown and serves as vice chair of Ursinus' board of trustees. - Susan Snyder
