17-year-old fatally shot in Chester

Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old male in Chester Friday morning.

The shooting happened near 12th Street and Meadow Lane shortly after midnight. When police arrived, officers found the body on the sidewalk on the west side of the 1100 block of Meadow, shot several times in the head.

The youth, whom police have not identified, was pronounced dead at Crozer-Chester Medical Center.
