Police have charged a man in connection with the fatal shooting of an Olney bar owner this month. Brent Dixon, 30, was arrested May 13 on charges of murder, robbery, conspiracy, and related offenses.

Police said Dixon is not the man who shot 47-year-old John Adams, owner of Johnny's Top Cat Club, but described him as an accomplice. Dixon and the other man held up Adams on May 2 near Fifth and Ruscomb Streets, police said. Surveillance cameras captured one man pointing a gun at Adams, then shooting him twice. Adams was hospitalized in critical condition and died eight days later.

Dixon is held at the Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility and is to appear in court next month. - Allison Steele
