A 6-year-old boy is in stable condition after being shot three times Friday afternoon in the Hunting Park section.
Police said an unknown gunman fired at least four shots about 4:20 p.m. on the 1300 block of West Pike Street. Three struck the child's left arm. A fourth hit a 25-year-old man in the left leg, police said.
The boy and the man, whom police did not name, were taken to Temple University Hospital. Investigators believe the gunman fled in a white Jeep Cherokee in the direction of Roosevelt Boulevard. - Sam Wood
