Boy drowns in the Schuylkill in Reading

READING - Rescuers say they have recovered the body of an 11-year-old boy who apparently drowned in the Schuylkill in Berks County.

Officials say the boy went into the river near the Stonecliffe Recreation Area around 4 p.m. Friday. Another boy tried to help, but was not able to rescue him. Crews with K-9 units searched the area and recovered his body. The boy's name has not been released. - AP
