Boy, 7, injured by riding bike into back of bus

A 7-year-old boy was taken to a hospital Monday evening after riding his bicycle into the back of a SEPTA bus in the Northwood section of Northeast Philadelphia, a SEPTA spokesman said. The accident occurred around 7 p.m. near Orthodox and Horrocks Streets, said SEPTA spokesman Gary Fairfax. The boy was taken by a medic unit to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children to be treated for cuts on his head and shoulders, police said. - Robert Moran
