Shots crackled shortly after 8:30 p.m. after an altercation erupted between two men on the Number 13 trolley at 57th Street and Chester Avenue. One of the men was treated at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for a bullet wound to the groin. The other man fled. Police had made no arrests Sunday night. The girl, who was jostled as passengers scrambled to get out of the way, was taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where she was reported to be in good condition, police said. - Sam Wood
