A teenage boy was arrested Friday in the shooting death of a 67-year-old man in his South Philadelphia home, police said Friday night.
The 17-year-old and the victim, Harvey Marinoff, knew each other, police said. The teen stole a gun and car from Marinoff, who was found dead in his home at Bailey and Tasker Streets, police said. He had been shot in the head and back.
Neighbors called police around 1:30 p.m. Thursday to report that Marinoff's front door was open. The responding officers saw blood in the hallway and eventually found Marinoff's body in a crawl space under a stairwell. - Robert Moran
