Del. woman is charged with raping 11-year-old boy
A Delaware woman was arrested Wednesday and charged with raping an 11-year-old boy, police said. Cassandra Epperson, 19, was babysitting five children in Felton on Aug. 20 when, police said, she followed the boy to a bathroom and sexually assaulted him. The boy told his mother, who contacted state police. On Wednesday, troopers took Epperson into custody and charged her with first-degree rape, unlawful sexual contact, and endangering the welfare of a child. She was being held on $2,000 bond at the Delores J. Baylor Women's Correctional Institution, police said. - Sam Wood
