No charges in death of toddler hit by mail truck

No charges will be filed against the driver of a mail truck that struck and killed a toddler in Downingtown last month. Borough Police Chief James R. McGowan III issued a statement Friday calling the death an accident.

Nicholas Kipp Jr., 2, crossed unseen in front of the truck April 12, police said. He died at Paoli Hospital.

The name of the 53-year-old driver was not released. He has been with the U.S. Postal Service for 22 years. - AP
