Police on Sunday identified the 23-year-old Kensington man who drowned Saturday while swimming with four friends in Neshaminy Creek in Bucks County.

Police on Sunday identified the 23-year-old Kensington man who drowned Saturday while swimming with four friends in Neshaminy Creek in Bucks County.

Martin Walton died while swimming across the rain-swollen creek, said Sgt. Frank Leonhardt of the Lower Southampton police.

The men, all from Philadelphia, were crossing to a rope swing hanging from a tree when Walton became distressed, Leonhardt said. A friend tried to save him, but nearly drowned. - Andrew Maykuth
