Woman awarded $4 million in suit over crash

A Montgomery County jury this week awarded $4.4 million to a Schwenksville woman and her husband for injuries she suffered in a 2005 car accident, the law firm representing her said.

Cristina Tarca was injured when the car she was driving was rear-ended in Whitpain Township by a van driven by an employee of a car dealership. The suit was filed in 2007 on behalf of Tarca and her husband, Dumitru.

After a six-day trial, the jury on Tuesday awarded $4.4 million to the couple, who were represented by Mayers, Mennies & Sherr of Blue Bell. - Robert Moran
