Police in Delaware County said the mother of a 3-year-old was pushing her child up and down the aisles of a store while stealing merchandise to sell for scrap.

Candace MacNamee, 26, of Clifton Heights, was arrested Wednesday at a Home Depot store. Police say she took nearly $250 in brass fittings, chains, bolts, and other metal items while pushing her daughter's stroller.

Authorities say the child was picked up by her grandmother after MacNamee's arrest. MacNamee is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 15 on a charge of retail theft. - AP
