A man who was wearing two earrings in each ear is being sought in the gunpoint sexual assault of a 32-year-old woman in Center City, police said Wednesday.
The assailant approached the victim from behind about 1:30 a.m. Dec. 7 on the 100 block of North Mole Street, near 16th and Cherry Streets, and assaulted her in a nearby courtyard, police said.
The attacker was described as black, with a medium brown complexion, 5 feet, 8 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches tall, 150 to 180 pounds, with an athletic build. He was armed with a black semiautomatic handgun at the time of the attack and was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt or jacket, a white shirt, and dark-colored denim jeans. The victim did not suffer serious physical injuries, police said.
