Phoenixville student surrenders in slaying

After three months on the run, a Phoenixville High School student wanted on murder charges surrendered to Chester County detectives Tuesday night, police said.

Monique Robinson, 18, of Phoenixville, was one of three people implicated in the Sept. 14 homicide of Selvin Lopez-Mauricio, a Guatemalan native who was returning home from work when he was killed during a robbery, police said. Saleem D. Williams, 20, of Sharon Hill, and Stephen A. Reidler, 23, of Linfield, have been in custody since Sept. 21.

Phoenixville Detective Joseph Nemic said Robinson turned herself in at 8 p.m. with her attorney, Robert J. Donatoni. Nemic said she was to be arraigned by video and sent to Chester County Prison. - Kathleen Brady Shea
