Allentown police are investigating the eastern Pennsylvania city's first homicide of the year. Last year, it took six months for the city to record its first homicide.

A man's body was found on the sidewalk in front of a food store in the center of the city after gun shots were reported shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday, authorities said.
