A 50-year-old Haverford Township woman has been arrested and jailed for allegedly embezzling $150,000 from the flooring company for which she worked.

Dorothy J. Miller, of Moewyn Drive, was charged with forging her employers' names on almost $100,000 worth of checks and on a $50,000 loan application, the Delaware County District Attorney's Office said Thursday.

It said the investigation began when Kimberly Summers, owner of Summers Hardwood Floors Inc. of Sharon Hill, reported what she suspected was a misuse of money. Miller was arrested Monday, charged with theft and forgery, and remanded to the George W. Hill Correctional Facility in lieu of $75,000 bail. - Anthony R. Wood
