A 19-year-old man and a "John Doe" were killed in separate shootings Tuesday evening in Philadelphia, police said. The 19-year-old was shot six times about 7:10 p.m. in the 1400 block of North 58th Street in West Philadelphia, said Chief Inspector Scott Small. He later died at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. At 7:26 p.m., police were called to the 6600 block of Paschall Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia, where they found an unidentified man in his late 40s who had been shot in the chest, Small said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. No arrests were reported in either case.
