A man was killed Friday afternoon when the vehicle he was driving crashed in South Philadelphia, police said.
A man was killed Friday afternoon when the vehicle he was driving crashed in South Philadelphia, police said.
About 1:40, the man, whose name and age were not available, lost control of his vehicle in the 1000 block of Pattison Avenue, next to Citizens Bank Park, police said. The vehicle struck a tree and a parked car.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. A passenger was transported to Methodist Hospital with a possible broken leg. The accident is under investigation. - Robert Moran
