Have you seen this Cheltenham bank bandit?
Police today continued to search for a stained, would-be bank bandit who on Sunday held up a Montgomery Co. branch of Citizen's Bank.
Shortly before 1 p.m. in Cheltenham, a man entered the bank at the Cedarbrook Plaza on Easton Road, walked up to a teller and handed her a demand note that implied he was armed, police said.
The teller gave him a bag of money. But shortly after the bandit exited, a dyepack secreted in the bag exploded. He dropped the bag and fled north through the plaza, Cheltenham police said.
The suspect is described as being between 18 and 24-years-old, with a beard, about 5-foot-8 and 160 pounds. He had tattoos on his left arm and his right was wrapped with an ace bandage and a glove. He was last seen wearing a white baseball cap, a black T-shirt, light-colored shorts and a set of headphones around his neck.
Police said before the robbery, the suspect bought the ace bandage at the nearby Wal-Mart and sneakers and a white hat at the nearby Modell's.
