Driver dead after tanker truck carrying milk overturns in Montco
He was identified Friday as Jeremy Marquette, 44, of Leesport, Berks County.
A tanker truck carrying milk overturned on a Montgomery County road early Thursday, killing the driver, police said.
Officials said the tractor trailer overturned after it ran into a pole at about 2:55 a.m. on the 500 block of South Park Avenue in Lower Providence Township.
Emergency responders found an overturned tractor trailer with the driver dead inside, police said.
Police identified the driver as Jeremy Marquette, 44, of Leesport, Berks County.
The tractor trailer was fully loaded with milk, and the collision caused about 4,000 gallons of milk to leak from the tanker truck into a grassy area near the road and a nearby drainage area.
Various TV news reports showed images of the silver tanker lying on its side on the grassy area and a snapped utility pole, with downed wires in the area.
