Missing N. Philadelphia woman, 93, found safe

A 93-year-old woman who went missing in North Philadelphia on a bitter-cold night has been located safe.

Philadelphia police said Essie Mae Sanders was found in good condition. They did not provide additional details.

She had been reported missing from her home on the 1400 block of North 12th Street, where she was last seen at about 11 p.m. Thursday.

Sanders suffers from dementia and police were concerned about her welfare during the coldest week of the winter thus far.
