One person was killed Sunday night in an apartment fire in the city's Fernhill section, according to scanner reports.The blaze began shortly before 7:30 p.m. in a 2nd-floor bedroom of an apartment building in the 4600 block of Pulaski Avenue.

Firefighters had the flames under control by 7:43 p.m., according to scanner reports.
One person was found dead inside, according to the report.
City Fire Department representatives would not comment on the cause of the blaze.
