Finley elected as president judge
DOYLESTOWN Bucks County Court Judge Jeffrey L. Finley was elected by his fellow justices Tuesday as the next president judge.
Finley, a Republican elected in 2005, will serve a five-year term as the top justice on the 15-member bench.
According to a county announcement, Finley, 59, has specialized in criminal and administrative proceedings during his term, as well as juvenile cases.
The new Bucks County Justice Center, the most expensive public construction project in county history, is set to open by the end of this year, and Finley will supervise the court's transition into the facility, the announcement said.
Finley, formerly a Bucks County prosecutor and partner in a Doylestown law firm, succeeds Judge Susan D. Scott, who had been president judge since 2008. - Chris Palmer
