MEDIA Delaware County Democrats have announced their slate for the County Council race. Republicans hold all five seats on the board.

"This is a great ticket, and this is the year we are going to break through," said David Landau, the Democratic Committee chairman.

Jack Evans of Norwood is a member of the Interboro school board. Evans, who grew up in Upper Darby, works for Amtrak, managing high-voltage systems along the Northeast Corridor. He previously worked as part of the rail service's counterterrorism unit.

Christine Reuther of Wallingford attended Harvard University and received her law degree from the University of California, Berkeley. Reuther, a Haverford Township native, has experience on the Nether Providence Board of Commissioners and was appointed to the Central Delaware County Sewer Authority.

Richard Womack, a lifelong resident of Darby Township, is police commissioner there and vice president of the township board of commissioners. He is a field representative for the AFL-CIO. - Mari A. Schaefer
