Aramark chosen as retailer for papal event

Philadelphia-based Aramark was named Monday to be the official retailer for the World Meeting of Families event that will bring Pope Francis to the city in September.

The more than 200 branded products will include T-shirts, knit scarves, key chains and coffee mugs as well as rosaries, holy medals and a plush doll of the pope, organizers said.

Items will be available later this month via shop.worldmeeting2015.org.

Retail locations will be inside the Pennsylvania Convention Center and on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway during the world meeting and the papal visit.

The events are expected to bring up to 2 million people to Philadelphia Sept. 22-27.
