SEPTA will hold another one-day lottery next week for passengers who want to buy tickets for the Norristown High Speed Line or trolley routes 101 and 102 during the September papal visit.

The lottery will open at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday and run through 11:59 p.m.

The special three-day transit passes cost $10 each and will be valid from Sept. 26 through Sept. 28.

SEPTA spokeswoman Kristin Geiger said there would be 20,000 Norristown High Speed Line passes available, and 5,600 tickets for each of the trolley routes.

All riders on those lines during the papal visit must have one of the passes.

When entering the lottery, riders will need select the station and time slot they plan to use.

Stations available are Springfield Mall and Leamy Avenue for the Route 101 trolley, North Street and Clifton-Aldan for the Route 102 trolley, and Gulph Mills and Villanova for the Norristown High Speed Line.

Time options are 6 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. or 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Passengers on the 101 and 102 trolleys and the High Speed Line will travel to the 69th Street Transportation Center, where they will transfer to the Market-Frankford Line to continue to 30th Street Station. Outbound trips will not begin until after 5:30 p.m.

SEPTA said it is using the same TicketLeap lottery system used for this week's Regional Rail pass sales.

All legitimate lottery applicants will have the same chance of getting a pass, regardless of when they enter.

Like the Regional Rail lottery, winners selected through the random drawing will be allowed to buy up to 10 tickets.
