The RiverLink Ferry will operate during this month's papal visit, shuttling passengers across the Delaware between Camden and Philadelphia.

The Delaware River Waterfront Corp. says the ferry will have extended hours when Pope Francis is in town on Sept. 26 and 27, running from 7:30 a.m. to midnight.

Trips will take place every hour, with ferries leaving on the half hour out of Camden's dock at 1 Riverside Drive and on the hour out of Philadelphia's dock at 211 S. Christopher Columbus Blvd.

Tickets for the 10-minute rides cost $7 each way and must be purchased in advance for specific times. More information, including links to purchase tickets, is available at http://www.delawareriverwaterfront.com/places/riverlink-ferry/papal-visit.

The ferry holds about 550 passengers, according to the waterfront corporation's website.

Papal weekend passengers are encouraged to arrive an hour before their departure times.

The ferry will also be operating Friday, Sept. 25 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Monday, Sept. 28, from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Those tickets are $7 round-trip and don't need to be purchased for a specific time.
