Daniel McDonald, 46, a Tony-nominated actor who appeared on Broadway in musicals including
Steel Pier
and
High Society
, died Feb. 15 in New York. The cause was brain cancer, a family spokesman said.
Mr. McDonald made his Broadway debut in 1997 in Steel Pier, a Kander and Ebb musical set in Atlantic City. He received a Tony Award nomination for his portrayal of pilot Bill Kelly in the show.
The following year, he starred in the stage version of Cole Porter's High Society. He also appeared in the national tour of Contact in 2002 and in 2004 as a replacement in Mamma Mia.
He also guest-starred on TV shows including Sex and the City, Law & Order, CSI: Miami and Murder, She Wrote. - AP
