Robert S. Erlebach, 81, of New Hope, a computer systems specialist and educator, died Tuesday of complications of lung cancer at Holy Redeemer Hospice in Meadowbrook.

Robert S. Erlebach, 81, of New Hope, a computer systems specialist and educator, died Tuesday of complications of lung cancer at Holy Redeemer Hospice in Meadowbrook.
After graduation from Atlantic City High School and Navy service in World War II, Mr. Erlebach got a bachelor's degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
For 20 years he worked in the computer industry at firms including ITT, IBM and Philco. In the 1970s he taught computer technology and data processing at Burlington County College. After retiring in his 50s, Mr. Erlebach operated a computer consulting business for 10 years.
Mr. Erlebach loved fishing and boating in Ocean City, N.J., his daughter Sandra Gershenfeld said, as well as current events, politics and history.
He and Helen Miller Erlebach were married for 54 years until her death in September. He was her devoted caregiver, their daughter said, during her decade-long struggle with Alzheimer's disease.
In addition to his daughter, Mr. Erlebach is survived by daughters Ellen Marshall and Carol MacHorton; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Reed & Steinbach Funeral Home, 2335 Lower State Rd., Doylestown. Friends may call at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Carversville Cemetery.
