Henry A. Quinn, 72, of Rosemont, a certified public accountant and owner of a real estate and investment company, died Thursday of leukemia at Bryn Mawr Hospital.

Mr. Quinn grew up in Bala Cynwyd and Upper Darby. He graduated from St. Joseph's Preparatory School in Philadelphia and earned a bachelor's degree from St. Joseph's University. He later served on the boards of both schools. He was past chairman of the capital campaign and development committees at St. Joseph's University and established the university's Sutula Chair in Accounting. He received the school's Shield of Loyola award in 1995 and was named to its business and administration hall of fame in 1990.

For 30 years, Mr. Quinn was associated with the accounting firm of KPMG in Philadelphia. He retired as a partner with the firm in 1986 and established H.A. Quinn Enterprises in Rosemont.

Mr. Quinn was active in fund-raising for Catholic Charities and served on the Council of Managers for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

He was a longtime member of Overbrook Golf Club, where he played two or three times a week with friends.

Mr. Quinn is survived by sisters Mary Jane Islemann and Lillian Walsh; a brother, Arthur; and nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be said at 11 a.m. today at Our Mother of Good Counsel Church, 31 Pennswood Rd., Bryn Mawr. Friends may call at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.
