Joseph A. Maselli | Dental lab owner, 88
Joseph A. Maselli, 88, of Drexel Hill, a retired dental lab owner, died of pneumonia Friday at his home.
For more than 20 years, until he retired in 1984, Mr. Maselli owned and operated J&R Dental Labs in Collingdale.
He graduated from South Philadelphia High School. During World War II, he served in the Army in the Philippines.
After his discharge he worked for dental labs in the Philadelphia area before starting his business.
Mr. Maselli was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Sons of Italy Lodge in Havertown, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Drexel Hill.
He enjoyed golf and playing craps at casinos in Atlantic City.
Mr. Maselli is survived by daughters Regina Vassallo, Carol and Tina, and five grandchildren. His wife of 51 years, Serina Foti Maselli, died in 2002.
A Funeral Mass will be said at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at St. Bernadette Church, 1035 Turner Ave., Drexel Hill. Friends may call at D'Anjolell Memorial Home, 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. tomorrow. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon.
