Joseph F. DelBuono | Roofer, contractor, 56

Joseph F. DelBuono, 56, of Conshohocken, co-owner of Joseph DelBuono Roofing & General Contracting, died of liver disease Thursday at the home of his twin, Jocelyn "Toy" Sirchio, in Lafayette Hill.

When their father, Joseph, retired in 1976, Mr. DelBuono and his brother, James, took over the family's firm in Conshohocken. He excelled in all areas of the business, his sister said, especially sheet-metal work. He never accepted payment from churches, said his sister, who works for the firm, and often did not charge charitable organizations and people in need.

Mr. DelBuono was a life member of Conshohocken Fire Company No. 2. He was a member of Conshohocken AMBUCS and was active in the service organization's Soap Box Derby and its Fourth of July fireworks event. He was also a volunteer with the Little League in Conshohocken and helped coach a girls' softball league.

Mr. DelBuono graduated from Archbishop Kennedy High School in Conshohocken. He served six years in the Air Force Reserve.

In addition to his brother and sister, he is survived by sisters Joelene Galie, Juanita Dawidziuk, Jacqueline Pasquini and Jerri Young, and 13 nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be said at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Matthew Roman Catholic Church, 219 Fayette St., Conshohocken.
