Lisa Ann Moran Bauer, 46, of Ridley Park, a classroom aide who worked with adolescents with behavioral problems, died of heart failure Monday at Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park.

Mrs. Bauer graduated from Archbishop Prendergast High School in Drexel Hill. She then worked for several years in restaurants in Wildwood, where she met Neal Bauer. The couple married in 1992.

For the last six years, Mrs. Bauer was a member of the support staff at an alternative school in Aston. The school is operated by Elwyn, which offers programs for children and adults with mental disabilities.

Active with several charities, she helped organize the annual Beth O'Brien Swim-athon at the Nassau Swim Club in Ridley Township to benefit the Make-a-Wish Foundation and supported the annual mile swim in Wildwood to benefit the Patient and Family Fund at Johns Hopkins Hospital, her husband said.

Mrs. Bauer enjoyed summers with her family in Wildwood and Cape May. They had the "best vacation ever" at Disney World in March, her husband said.

"Lisa was a caring, loving friend," said Linda Bustin, a next-door neighbor. "She would walk into a crowded room and walk out knowing something about everyone there."

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Bauer is survived by a son, Colin; her parents, Frank and Maralyn Moran; and two brothers.

Friends may call from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Griffith Funeral Chapel, 520 Chester Pike, Norwood. A Funeral Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Madeline Church, Penn Street and Morton Avenue, Ridley Park.

Memorial donations may be made to the Colin Bauer Educational Fund, PNC Bank, 501 Chester Pike, Prospect Park, Pa. 19076.
