Lila T. Abunza, 79, the former first lady of Nicaragua, died Thursday in Managua. Relatives told local media that her health had been deteriorating for months.

Lila T. Abunza, 79, the former first lady of Nicaragua, died Thursday in Managua. Relatives told local media that her health had been deteriorating for months.

Ms. Abunza was the wife of former President Enrique Bolanos, who governed from 2002 to 2006. She married Bolanos in 1949. - AP
