Ronald W. Jackson Sr., 73, a supervisor at the former Atlantic Richfield refinery in Philadelphia, died of heart disease Saturday at Abington Memorial Hospital. He lived in the West Oak Lane section of the city.
Ronald W. Jackson Sr., 73, a supervisor at the former Atlantic Richfield refinery in Philadelphia, died of heart disease Saturday at Abington Memorial Hospital. He lived in the West Oak Lane section of the city.
Born in Jersey City, N.J., Mr. Jackson played football at Henry Snyder High School there and graduated in 1953. He attended New Jersey State Teachers College at Jersey City before joining the Army's 82d Airborne Division and serving during the Korean War.
After 31 years at the refinery, Mr. Jackson retired at age 65.
He is survived by his wife, Ophelia; sons Ronald W. 2d and Eric; a daughter, Ronda Wilson; two grandchildren; two brothers; and five sisters.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. tomorrow at St. Athanasius Roman Catholic Church, Limekiln Pike and Walnut Lane, where a Funeral Mass will be said at 10. Burial will be in Ivy Hill Cemetery.
