Robert Glendinning 2d, 75, formerly of Chestnut Hill, a real estate executive and community leader, died of complications from Alzheimer's disease Monday at The Hill at Whitemarsh in Lafayette Hill.

Robert Glendinning 2d, 75, formerly of Chestnut Hill, a real estate executive and community leader, died of complications from Alzheimer's disease Monday at The Hill at Whitemarsh in Lafayette Hill.

Mr. Glendinning had been a lifelong resident of Chestnut Hill until last year. He was a graduate of Solebury School in New Hope, where he had met his future wife, Sandra Dufort.

During the Korean War, he served in an Army combat unit in Korea.

After his discharge he joined his cousins in their Philadelphia real estate firm, Emlen & Co., and eventually became a partner. He was later cofounder of the real estate firm of Emlen Wheeler, which eventually merged to become Prudential Fox & Roach Realtors. In 2003, he retired as Prudential's senior vice president. He was a member of the Eastern Montgomery and the Philadelphia Board of Realtors.

Mr. Glendinning served on numerous boards, including the boards of Chestnut Hill Hospital, Chestnut Hill Parking Foundation, and Fox Roach Charities. He was a member of the First Troop Philadelphia City Calvary, the St. Andrew's Society and the Fourth Street Club in Philadelphia.

He enjoyed playing the courses at Sunnybrook Golf Club in Whitemarsh and at the Philadelphia Cricket Club, where he had been a two-term president.

Mr. Glendinning enjoyed birdwatching, bird-carving, and spending time with his family at their vacation home in the Adirondacks.

In addition to his wife of 53 years, he is survived by sons R. Bruce and Andrew; daughters Ellen and Gray and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 22 E. Chestnut Hill Ave., Philadelphia.
