Patricia Wazontek Kohler, 69, of Doylestown, an office manager and antique-shop owner, died of brain cancer Friday at home.

Mrs. Kohler grew up in Easton and worked for Bethlehem Steel Co. in Bethlehem. In 1958, she married Richard J. Kohler, then a student at Lafayette College in Easton. During his early career in sales, he said, his wife was very supportive of his eight business moves in 12 years.

While their children were growing up, Mrs. Kohler was a Girl Scout leader and a Cub Scout den mother. While she and her husband lived in Hingham, Mass., she was president of the Woman's Club and designed a prize-winning Sesame Street float for the Fourth of July parade.

In 1971, Mrs. Kohler and her husband moved to Doylestown, where he established Xerographic Supplies and Equipment Co. She was office manager and an integral part of the business, he said. The firm is now operated by their son, Richard Jr.

For three years, before becoming ill in 2006, Mrs. Kohler was the proprietor of Remember When, an antique store in Doylestown that featured furniture, cut glass, paintings and other collectibles.

Mrs. Kohler enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren at her vacation home in the Poconos.

In addition to her husband and son, she is survived by daughters, Deborah Sewell and Pamela Smith; a son, Brian; two sisters; a brother; and eight grandchildren.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at Shelly Funeral Home, 1460 Easton Rd., Warrington. A Funeral Mass will be said at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 235 E. State St., Doylestown. Burial will be in Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Doylestown.
