Sidney P. Larrimore, 86, of Springfield, Delaware County, died of pneumonia Wednesday at Delaware County Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Larrimore grew up in Glenolden. He graduated from Glen-Nor High School, and went to work for General Electric Co. in Philadelphia. During World War II, he was a radio operator in the Army Air Force.

After his discharge, he returned to GE and earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering at night from Drexel University. He retired in 1984.

Mr. Larrimore was a golfer. He had played the trumpet since his teens, and also played the organ. He sang with the Delaware County Community Chorus and the Delcordians, a barbershop quartet.

In their youth, he and his wife, Carolyn Voehringer Larrimore, sang in the choir at First Presbyterian Church in Glenolden, and later at Hancock United Methodist Church in Springfield. They were members of the Leisure Times Club at Hancock, and the Young at Heart Club at Princeton Presbyterian Church in Springfield.

In addition to his wife of 57 years, Mr. Larrimore is survived by daughters Carolyn Cook and Holly Keller; two sisters; two granddaughters; and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hancock United Methodist Church, 542 Wesley Rd., Springfield. Friends may call at 10. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Broomall.
